Cindy Miller, APRN-BC founded Behavior Health Consultants, LLC to fulfill the need of accessible Mental Health Care in this Community.
She became passionate in fulfilling this need and serving the public.

Cindy Miller, APRN-BC
FOUNDER
Cindy Miller was born and raised in Huntsville, AL. She earned her associates degree in Nursing in 1992 and then went on to obtain her bachelor’s degree in Nursing from The University of Alabama in 1998.
In 2001 she earned her Masters of Science in Nursing from the University of Alabama Huntsville. Cindy is board certified with the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) and a member of Sigma Theta Tau Nursing Honor Society and American Academy of Nurse Practitioners.
Cindy is dedicated to her faith, family, and her patients who are in need of experienced mental health care. A respected Nurse Practitioner, Cindy has been an advocate in mental health for 23 years. Currently in private practice for the last 12 years, she is devoted to responsible and expert care of her clients in Murfreesboro and Middle TN. She also enjoys speaking engagements throughout the US to educate other providers. She is passionate about helping patients reach their best personal selves.

Susan Elaine Dauwalder, DNP, PMHNP-BC
Susan “Elaine” Dauwalder NP has been an experienced Family Nurse Practitioner since 1998. She joined Behavior Health Consultants in 2021 after completing her post-master's certificate as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. In addition, she graduated from Vanderbilt University where she received her Doctor of Nursing Practice. She has earned certifications in both Family Medicine and Psychiatric Mental Health from the American Nurses Credentialing Center.
Elaine places an emphasis on improving people’s quality of life and facilitating the strengthening of personal resilience.
Outside the office, she enjoys traveling, meditation, watching baseball, reading, laughing, indulging in Mexican food, and spending time with friends and family.

Jennifer Pitts, APRN-BC
Jennifer Pitts has been honored to serve our community as an advanced practice nurse for over ten years. A lifelong resident of Tennessee, she moved from Jackson to Murfreesboro to be close to grandparents and attend MTSU where she received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree. Shortly thereafter she graduated magna cum laude from Vanderbilt University with a Master of Science in Nursing. Jennifer earned board certification through the American Nurses Credentialing Center as an Adult Nurse Practitioner.
Always keenly interested in mental health, Jennifer feels blessed to be part of the Behavior Health Consultants team. Her mission is to offer nonjudgmental, compassionate care to help each person achieve a happier, healthier life. She thoughtfully employs individualized psychotherapeutics and extends genuine encouragement.
In her spare time Jennifer enjoys cooking healthy one-pot meals with a kick, meditating, yoga, pilates, and walking the family farm. She loves spending time with friends and family and caring for her plants and fur babies.

Jennifer Thommen
Office Manager
Jennifer moved to Murfreesboro in 2019 from her hometown in East Hampton, New York. She started her career as a Clinical Medical Assistant over 25 years ago. Throughout the years she has worn many hats working as an Administrative Assistant, Medical Secretary, and Chief Financial Officer. Jennifer loves working side by side with the public to find out of the box solutions to problems that arise everyday in the medical field. In her spare time, you will find her swimming, enjoying quality time with family, and cheering on her granddaughter at the ballfields. She also enjoys reading, card games, Dominoes, and challenging crossword puzzles.

Jessica Teter, LCSW
Licensed Clinical Social Worker
Jessica is committed to helping clients learn how to build healthier relationships with themselves, peers, partners, and everyone in between. She provides a confidential, non-judgmental place for clients to start working towards their therapeutic goals.
Jessica is passionate about learning strategies to help her clients, and the future of her career. She is currently teaching as an Adjunct Professor at MTSU when not in the office seeing clients.

Hailey Wilson
Front Office/Scheduling Coordinator
Hailey is experienced in memory, hospice and home health care, while building long lasting relationships with patients over the last decade. When not working, she can be found tending to her farm work, on the water or traveling to her daughters many cheer competitions.

Tyler Andrew, MSN, PMHNP-BC
Tyler believes in treating the whole person, not just their symptoms. His approach focuses on understanding each individual's unique journey. His focus is to engage with patients through compassionate listening and open communication. Trust and collaboration are key; working with patients to create personalized treatment plans. Tyler specializes in medication management and counseling. The goal is to empower patients to take charge of their health while providing support and guidance along the way. Together, navigating challenges and celebrating progress on the path to wellness.
Tyler is a highly skilled and compassionate healthcare professional committed to your mental well-being. With a Master of Science in Nursing and specialized training as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP), he offers expert care through medication management, counseling, therapy, and mental health assessments.
His extensive experience includes working in both private practice and telehealth settings, making mental health care accessible and convenient. He brings a wealth of knowledge from roles in addiction recovery, behavioral health, and emergency medical situations, ensuring a comprehensive approach to your mental health and well-being.He is dedicated to providing patient-focused, empathetic care with a strong emphasis on collaboration and support. Committed to lifelong learning, he is always ready to address your concerns with the utmost professionalism.
Outside the clinic, he enjoys going outside, walking, gardening and farming.
